What better way to celebrate fall than to do a fall tag? It’s all over Youtube, and since I’m not, I brought it over to the blog. Here are a few of my favorite fall things.
Yankee Candle’s ‘Cranberry Chutney‘. I bought it last Christmas season and didn’t start burning it until last month. I like it because it’s not the clichè pumpkin scent everyone raves over (which I hate). It’s described as, “a delicious reminder of Thanksgiving dinner… tangy, fresh cranberries with orange zest and raisins.” This is head on. It’s still warm, a little sweet and definitely fall appropriate.
Favorite Fall Fruit?
POMEGRANATE! There is absolutely no comparison. I love them. So fresh, juicy, the seeds can get a little annoying but I’m willing to look past that. I haven’t picked up any yet, but I definitely will before the weekend’s end.
Favorite Lip Color?
I’d choose Milani’s ‘Sangria‘. It’s the perfect price point ($6) for someone who doesn’t wear lipstick on a daily. It’s flattering and dark enough, but not vampy. For sure wearable.
As mentioned above, I don’t do all that pumpkin spice blah, blah. I honestly don’t have a favorite fall drink, but I won’t ever turn down a delicious hot chocolate.
Favorite Halloween Costume?
I can’t remember the last time I really dressed up for Halloween, so let’s skip this one. Last year I dressed up as a nerd, so I guess it’s my favorite adult costume.
Favorite Clothing Item?
Scarves, scarves, scarves! So, I have an issue with my arms being longer than the “average” sleeve on sweaters, coats, and cardigans. I’m talking an easy three inches too short. Since scarves are one size fits all, that’s how I choose to accessorize. I don’t ever have to worry about looking lanky and awkward but I can still add a little jazz to distract from my sleeves.
If you’re still wondering how I get away with super short sleeves on long arms: watches.
Favorite Fall TV Show?
All I have to say is TGIT! Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder are my favorites. I look forward to Thursday every week for the suspense.
Favorite Thanksgiving Food?
Collard greens! No, candied yams. No, collard greens. Final answer.
